In partnership with the National Association of Counties (NACo) and Mana Group Consulting, NADO’s Rural Energy Academy serves as a national resource and peer-learning center that empowers regional practitioners and local elected decision-makers with knowledge and tools to support energy planning and development decisions best for their communities. Rising energy demand, technological advances, changes in federal policy, and increased attention on rural areas for energy development (including data centers) has created a ‘meet-the-moment’ opportunity for rural leaders.
Through peer-learning engagement, case examples/model ordinances, tailored technical assistance, educational training workshops, and hands-on cohort site visits, the Rural Energy Academy is here to assist RDO’s and their local governments address energy challenges and meet goals.
Stay tuned here for more information on upcoming NADO Rural Energy Academy events and opportunities. Please visit the NACo Energizing Counties Resource Hub for more information on energy reports, data, and other materials.
