Call for Nominations: RPO America Council of Peers

NADO is currently ramping up its transportation programs and initiatives to better serve the needs of rural and small metro regions across the country. As part of this effort, NADO is expanding our national network of transportation practitioners. Please consider joining NADO’s transportation affiliate group, RPO America, as NADO works to enhance our offerings of peer-to-peer learning opportunities and research, and to develop a policy agenda focused on rural and small metro regions. NADO members who join RPO America are invited to support the work of this practitioner-led group via an annual $500 subscription fee.

Participating organizations also have the opportunity to nominate regional transportation planners and other practitioners for appointments to RPO America’s National RPO Council of Peers, which will spearhead RPO agenda development and peer research. NADO aims to have one Council representative from each state, however, even if your state is already represented, NADO is open to considering additional candidates. Please pass this invitation along to transportation professionals that could provide valuable insight and energy to the cause. The current RPO Council of Peers roster is available here

To nominate yourself or someone else to the RPO Council, please contact NADO Executive Director Joe McKinney at [email protected] and CC [email protected]. With general questions about RPO America, please contact Kevin Adam, who is serving as a consultant to help expand NADO’s transportation initiatives, at [email protected].

NADO is also excited to announce that the next National Regional Transportation Conference is scheduled for July 30 – Aug 1 in Greenville, South Carolina. Additional details to follow. Please take advantage of these learning and networking opportunities for you and your staff. Your participation also provides NADO with the transportation expertise that will enable us to better serve you and your regions.
