The NADO Research Foundation (NADO RF) is currently seeking applicants from the NADO Central, Southeast, Southwest, and West chapters to serve on the NADO RF Advisory Committee. The NADO RF Advisory Committee works with Research Foundation leadership and staff to identify issues and topics of relevance and concern to NADO members; provides guidance and offers ideas related to research and training programs and opportunities to serve the membership; and shares their individual and collective professional expertise and in-depth knowledge of regional approaches to economic development. Committee members serve two-year terms, which are staggered with four members serving from 2024-2026 and three from 2023-2025. The Research Foundation President position changes annually. The Committee generally meets two times per year in conjunction with NADO’s Washington and Annual Training conferences. Additional meetings will occur virtually, generally three times a year.
The Advisory Committee composition includes eight members: one from each of the six NADO membership regions; one representing the Associate Membership category; and the NADO Research Foundation President. With the staggered Committee structure, there will be openings for the 2024-2026 term beginning in July 2024. If you are interested in applying to serve on the Committee, please complete the online application here. Alternatively, if one of your staff might have interest in serving on the committee, please share this information with them.
NADO members interested in serving on the NADO Research Foundation Advisory Committee will need to submit their applications no later than May 10, 2024. Applications will be reviewed by the NADO Research Foundation Board and appointees will be notified by June 21, 2024.
