$5,576 - $6,777/Monthly

Starting salary up to $38.97/hour ($81,335/year), a cash allowance of $600/month, and a competitive total compensation package!*

The CDC is dedicated to creating homes, in thriving and inclusive neighborhoods, for all. As a Senior Community Development Specialist, you will perform highly specialized technical work related to the data analysis, development, administration, and performance monitoring of your assigned CDC projects and programs. Additionally, you will support efforts to engage CDC partners and mobilize community member participation in projects by communicating effectively verbally and in writing with individuals from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. The ideal candidates for these positions will have a passion for creating housing opportunities, superb interpersonal skills, and be skilled at building and fostering working relationships. They will also possess:

  • The ability to interpret federal regulations, local policies, and laws and an interest in conducting research
  • Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and an aptitude for efficiently managing competing demands
  • A proven track record of exercising excellent judgment and a common-sense approach to addressing challenging customer service situations
  • Familiarity with¬†ensuring housing program compliance¬†and the Homeless Management Information System
  • Excellent presentation skills and experience performing public outreach and/or providing educational training
