Annual salary range: $95,251 to $171,540

The Department of Housing and Community Affairs (DHCA) works to preserve and increase the supply of affordable housing, maintain existing housing in a safe and sanitary condition, preserve the safety and quality of residential and commercial areas, ensure fair and equitable relations between landlords and tenants, and support the success of common ownership communities – all with a focus on reducing racial inequities and climate change impacts.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader in a union environment. The candidate will have strong administrative skills in areas such as budget preparation, financial management, and human resources, along with experience in interpreting housing-related local, State, and Federal Laws and regulations and community planning and development. The next Manager II will utilize excellent communication skills to build rapport with community groups and residents and have a solid political acumen to handle complaints from the public and its executive leaders. Experience with managing federal grants will be an asset in this role.
