The West Michigan Shoreline Regional Development Commission (WMSRDC), located at 340 Morris Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49440, seeks a full time Finance Manager. The Commission is a federal and state designated regional planning and development agency serving 120 local governments in Lake, Mason, Muskegon, Newaygo, and Oceana Counties.

Coming from a strong accounting and finance background, the Finance Manager will be expected to manage all aspects of cash and maintain the Commission’s accounting system including payroll; cash receipts; prepare budgets and amendments; assist and coordinate independent State and Federal auditors; manage human resources; and review all contractual agreements with federal and state agencies as well as outside contractors. The Commission is primarily grant funded.  The Finance Manager will also be responsible for preparing and submitting financial statements, appropriate forms, and payment requests to federal and state agencies. This position reports to the Executive Director.

CPA certification is required along with a minimum seven years’ experience. Previous supervisory responsibility is a plus.
