RPO America Virtual Peer Roundtable: Strengthening Grant Support Services
RPO America, a program affiliate of NADO, serves as the national professional association for rural transportation practitioners. This RPO America roundtable will not be formal training, but rather an opportunity to exchange information about how regional development organizations (RDOs) and regional transportation planning organizations (RTPOs or RPOs) support their communities in pursuing grants—how they integrate this work into their regular workload, how staff time is funded, and how they prioritize when communities have many competing needs.
This informal meeting will be focused on sharing insights, strategies, and best practices with peers. All NADO member organizations are invited to participate. Learning objectives:
- Participants will gain an understanding of how RDOs and RTPOs support their communities with grant work, including how they organize responsibilities, manage staff time, and fund the effort.
- They will learn practical strategies for fitting grant assistance into busy workloads and methods for prioritizing community requests when needs are high.
- Attendees will also hear about tools created by the NADO staff team that can support regional organizations’ grant seeking activities.
