Rural Transportation Technical Assistance Reports

Beginning in late 2017, the NADO Research Foundation, the Western Transportation Institute at Montana State University, and other project partners have conducted technical assistance related to rural and tribal transportation and community economic development with support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development.

Although this work looks different in each region, NADO RF and WTI provide assistance on mobility and how transportation options support a rural region’s economy. Often, these projects focus on issues related to regional transit, other forms of mobility (such as vanpools and carpools), or bicycle and pedestrian access.

USDA is an equal opportunity provider. If you are interested in learning more about the possibility of requesting transportation technical assistance for a Tribe, community, or rural region, please contact us at [email protected].
