Trump Administration to Issue Slimmed-Down FY2018 Budget Request on March 14

The Trump Administration announced this week that a truncated fiscal year (FY) 2018 budget request will be released by March 14.  It has been reported that administration officials are still targeting domestic programs such as the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) and Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC).  The plan is expected to call for a reduction in government spending of $10.5 trillion over 10 years, resembling the details of the Heritage Foundation’s blueprint for reducing government.
