Strategies to Improve Transportation Safety

In this session of the 2016 National Regional Transportation Conference (http://www NULL.nado NULL.org/events/rpo2016), attendees learned about the stakeholder-developed Toward Zero Deaths National Strategy, and how the multi-disciplinary strategy is being deployed to improve safety for drivers and passengers, vulnerable road users, vehicles, infrastructure, improved safety management, and a supportive safety culture. In addition, speakers discussed how road diets are a proven method of improving transportation infrastructure to improve safety outcomes.  Jeannette Wierzbicki, Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association, served as the session moderator.
