The Senate will consider its first fiscal year (FY) 2015 appropriations bills on the floor next week, attempting to move three committee-passed bills as a bundled package. The FY2015 Commerce-Justice-Science and Agriculture spending bills passed the Senate Appropriations Committee with unanimous support. The FY2015 Transportation-HUD Appropriations bill garnered one “no” vote in committee. Germane amendments to the spending package will be allowed. NADO legislative staff will be closely monitoring developments and any attempts to reduce funding for key economic and community development programs funded in these bills through amendments offered on the Senate floor.
