Recording Available for NADO Webinar on FHWA Proposed Rules on Safety and Performance Measures

On May 7, NADO hosted a webinar (http://vimeo NULL.com/94440086) on two recently published Federal Highway Administration (http://www NULL.dot NULL.gov/fhwa) notices of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) related to highway safety.  The Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) NPRM (https://www NULL.federalregister NULL.gov/articles/2014/03/28/2014-06681/highway-safety-improvement-program) intends to clarify regulations for the development, implementation, and evaluation of highway safety improvement programs administered in each state.  The Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21) established data elements states are required to collect for all public roads and made other changes to the content and schedules of state strategic highway safety plans.  The companion Safety Performance Measurement NPRM (https://www NULL.federalregister NULL.gov/articles/2014/03/11/2014-05152/national-performance-management-measures-highway-safety-improvement-program) establishes performance measures related to the Highway Safety Improvement as required by MAP-21.  Click here (http://vimeo NULL.com/94440086) to view a recording of the webinar.
