The NADO Research Foundation has released the latest issue of the bi-monthly Rural Transportation Newsletter (http://myemail NULL.constantcontact NULL.com/Rural-Transportation-News--TOMORROW-Performance-Measurement-Webinar--Case-Studies--and-More NULL.html?soid=1011169585502&aid=KtnVHpaGWeY).  Featured articles in this issue included updates on recent NADO Research Foundation activities, such as new case studies (http://www NULL.ruraltransportation NULL.org/pages/page NULL.asp?page_id=60460&articleId=41590) on rural bike/ped planning and statewide investments in economic development and a webinar (http://www NULL.ruraltransportation NULL.org/pages/page NULL.asp?page_id=60460&articleId=41568) on performance measurement.  A NADO member is seeking information from peers and other experts on near-term applications of driver-less/autonomous vehicles.  The newsletter issue also publicizes the call for abstracts for the 2014 Tools of the Trade Conference (due September 1; conference occurring July 21 – 24, 2014 in Burlington, VT) and new safety resources from the Federal Highway Administration and National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration.  Numerous webinars on different topics are coming up in the calendar (http://www NULL.ruraltransportation NULL.org/pages/page NULL.asp?page_id=59353), from FHWA and other sources.
