During the National Association of Development Organization’s Washington Policy Conference on March 21, Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) was presented with the 2017 NADO Legislator of the Year Award.

Senator Tester is an outspoken advocate for rural America and small businesses. He has made rural growth and prosperity a cornerstone of his work in the Senate, championing rural development issues within the Senate Democratic Caucus and before the Senate Veterans’ Affairs, Indian Affairs, Banking, and Appropriations Committees.

Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) was also recognized as a NADO 2017 Legislator of the Year.
