Executive Committee Meets With Federal Officials

The NADO Executive Committee met in Washington, DC on February 21 – 23.  As part of their trip, the Executive Committee met with officials from the White House’s Office of Management and Budget, Economic Development Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, U.S. Department of Transportation and the Environmental Protection Agency.  The also met with committee staff from the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, U.S. House Agriculture Committee and the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.  In these meetings they were able to discuss NADO legislative and policy priorities including transportation reauthorization, EDA reauthorization, housing and workforce issues, rural development, reauthorization of the Farm Bill and sustainable communities among others.
