Webinars: Alternative Transportation Held, Social Media Scheduled

On February 15, the NADO Research Foundation and RPO America held the webinar “Rural and Small Metro Alternative Transportation Practices,” which was attended by over 200 people.  The webinar showcased the efforts of two NADO 2010 Trailblazer Award winners, the Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments (Waterloo, IA) for the Prairie Pathways Initiative and Southwest Region Planning Commission (Keene, NH) for its rural travel demand management website.

In addition, the NADO Research Foundation and RPO America will hold the webinar “Social Media and Electronic Participation in Regional Planning and Economic Development” on Wednesday, March 30 from 2 – 3:30 p.m. EST.  Through two case studies, this webinar will provide an overview of social media use and how such tools can be used in transportation, economic development and communications efforts of regional planning and development organizations.
