Regional Planner

The River Valley Regional Commission, a regional planning agency providing planning and community development assistance to sixteen counties and thirty-five municipalities in west-central Georgia, has an immediate opening for a Regional Planner. The River Valley Regional Commission has offices located in Columbus and Americus. The position requires an undergraduate degree in planning, public administration, or closely related field. Primary responsibilities include assisting with local government comprehensive planning, zoning/land use and resource planning, economic development, grant writing, and special projects as assigned. Strong analytical, written and oral skills are required.
