The Three Rivers Regional Commission (TRRC) with headquarters in Griffin, Georgia seeks qualified applicants for the position of Executive Director.  This position performs professional-level leadership, administrative, and managerial work under the direction of the TRRC Council for the local governments in the counties of Butts, Carroll, Coweta, Heard, Lamar, Meriwether, Pike, Spalding, Troup, and Upson in West Central Georgia.  TRRC works collaboratively with elected officials to improve the lives of residents in the region through the four divisions of Aging Services, Workforce Development, Transportation, and Local and Regional Planning.

While it is beneficial for the candidate to have experience in and connections to local, state, and federal officials as well as a familiarity with local, state, and federal government programs and initiatives, the ability to demonstrate leadership and entrepreneurial skills in one’s professional record is highly desirable. It will be advantageous for the successful candidate to show or understand equitable capacity-building concepts to support rural, small, suburban, and urban municipalities and counties.  Experience in fiscal management and budgeting is a must.  It is preferred that the successful candidate possess a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, or related field. It is desirable for the successful candidate to reside in the region.
