Director, Regional Environment and Economic Development
Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) is accepting applications for the position of Director, Regional Environment and Economic Development. The director is responsible for the agency’s economic development, active transportation, transit, and environment programs. The director supports the Institute for Livable & Equitable Communities and in particular, provides leadership and support for the Age-Friendly Initiative. The Director also supports the Disaster Recovery programs and plans being prepared to help our communities recover from the Memorial Day Tornadoes of 2019.
The ideal candidate leads with a strategic mindset, is self-motivated, and works well with limited direction. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing the agency’s involvement in the areas of the department including attracting funding, planning, administration, and coordinating with partnering organizations. The Director will lead a skilled staff in carrying out the following areas of responsibility.
