IEDC and NADO Seek Input from Regions and Communities Impacted by FY2011 Disasters in the Northeast and Southeast

Posted on: May 30th, 2013 by NADO Admin

Was your region or community impacted by a natural disaster that hit the northeast or southeast in fiscal year 2011? If so, the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and NADO invite you to share your experiences, needs, and priorities related to economic recovery and resilience to disasters. IEDC and the NADO Research Foundation have received several grants from EDA to support training, technical assistance, and best practice research on economic resilience for communities and regions in the EDA Atlanta and Philadelphia regions (http://www NULL.eda NULL.gov/contacts NULL.htm) affected by disasters during FY2011 (October 2010 – September 2011). To inform work on these projects, IEDC and NADO invite local and regional economic development organizations in the grant regions to fill out an electronic scan. The scan takes 10-15 minutes to complete and has questions about the impacts of FY2011 disasters and economic recovery needs and priorities. Following the collection of this information, IEDC and NADO will be offering free leadership training and technical assistance on economic recovery and resilience to selected communities and regions based on impact and need.
