This week, the House Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (THUD) Appropriations Subcommittee approved their version of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2015 THUD appropriations bill. The bill funds the U.S. Department of Transportation and the U.S. Department Housing and Urban Development programs. The bill funds the HUD-CDBG program at $3 billion for FY2015, which is $200 million above the president’s request and level with current FY2014 funding levels. The bill now moves to the full appropriations committee for consideration. Committee action on the bill is likely for the week of May 19.
