This week, the House of Representatives approved by a vote of 229 to 192 its version of the fiscal year (FY) 2015 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (THUD) Appropriations bill.  The bill funds U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and U.S. Department Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs at $52 billion for FY2015.  The bill funds the HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program at $3.02 billion for FY2015, which is $200 million above the president’s request and level with FY2014 spending. The Senate has proposed the same level for CDBG in their FY2015 THUD Appropriations bill.  Click here (http://www NULL.gpo NULL.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-113hr4745rh/pdf/BILLS-113hr4745rh NULL.pdf) for a final copy of the legislation.  Click here (http://appropriations NULL.house NULL.gov/UploadedFiles/06 NULL.10 NULL.14_FY_2015_THUD_Bill_-_Floor_Adopted_Amendments NULL.pdf) to view the list of adopted amendments to the bill.  Click here (http://www NULL.gpo NULL.gov/fdsys/pkg/CRPT-113hrpt464/pdf/CRPT-113hrpt464 NULL.pdf) for the committee report.
