On July 17, the U.S. House Appropriations Committee approved by a voice vote its Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies (CJS) funding bill for FY2014. The bill totals $47.4 billion in discretionary spending, a decrease of $2.8 billion below the FY2013 enacted level and $4.8 billion below the Senate CJS appropriations measure for FY2014.
The House bill funds the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) at $220 million for FY2014, which is essentially level with the FY2013 amount. The bill includes $29 million for Planning Grants and $95 million for Public Works. Click here to view NADO’s complete EDA funding account chart.
