Letters are circulating in both the House and Senate in support of robust funding for the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) in fiscal year (FY) 2017. These letters, written to the leadership of the House and Senate Appropriations Subcommittees on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies, request the highest funding level possible for EDA’s core economic development assistance programs. The House letter is being led by Representatives Jim McGovern (D-MA) and John J. Duncan Jr. (R-TN). The Senate letter is being led by Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR). NADO members are encouraged to ask their members of Congress to consider signing on to the letters. Please contact Susan Howard at [email protected] (showard null@null nado NULL.org) with questions.
