Federal Resources for Disaster Recovery and Resilience

This session occurred on August 26, 2013 at the Annual Training Conference in San Francisco, CA.

This session highlighted some of the resources that are available from the federal government for short- and long-term recovery. It focused on recent changes and new initiatives, such as the National Disaster Recovery Framework, FEMA flood map updates, stronger emphasis on resilience, and the use of sustainable approaches to development in disaster mitigation and rebuilding.
