As the COVID-19 Global Pandemic continues, NADO is both cautiously optimistic and prepared to manage this in-person conference in Kansas City with the health, safety, and well-being of our staff and conference participants as our top priority. NADO is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for the upcoming 2022 National Regional Transportation Conference.
As we plan, we will continue to assess the risks in Kansas City and the current status in the United States. In keeping with the Association's duty of care and the responsibility as host, NADO may implement safety requirements such as proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or negative test result, and indoor masking and physical distancing during the conference. We will continue to monitor and update safety precautions regularly and coordinate with trusted national resources, state and local public health agencies, and the host hotel.
Event background: This event provides peer-to-peer learning for regional transportation planners, state DOT representatives, and their local and private sector partners working in multiple transportation modes.
The conference provides training and networking opportunities on a variety of rural and small metropolitan transportation topics. With hands-on workshops, best practice panels, and facilitated networking sessions that feature peer trainers and expert speakers, the conference will offer training for organizations and individuals just beginning to work in transportation, as well as those with more experience.
