Registration will open for this event on the NADO website starting Monday, April 22, 2013. I encourage you to make your flight arrangements and hotel reservations as soon as possible. I am very excited about this year’s meeting as it will be the first opportunity for me to participate in strategic planning sessions with the Board which will help shape the future programmatic and policy agency for NADO.
The event will begin with a Welcome Reception at the hotel for those who arrive on Friday, June 7th. Board of Directors sessions will be held all day on Saturday, June 8th and Monday, June 10th. There is no registration fee for these sessions.
On Sunday, June 9th, you have the option of participating in networking activities on your own or registering for an exciting professional development opportunity at a deeply discounted rate. A Public Speaking and Communications Workshop will be held from 9:00a.m – 5:00p.m by the Buckley School of Public Speaking. (See Attached Flyer). The Buckley School provides this training to many Fortune 500 executives and notable federal and state elected officials. The fee for this training is $100 and registration is limited. If you have an interest in this training, I encourage you to register as soon as possible.
Again this year, NADO is providing a gift in appreciation for your service to our organization. When registering, please remember to select your shirt size so we can place orders in time for delivery at the Board meeting. We will be taking an updated group photo of the NADO Board of Directors on Monday, June 10th so remember to wear your shirt on that day.

Getting To and Around Santa Fe
Santa Fe is located in Northern New Mexico, an hour's drive north of Albuquerque, the state's largest city and major air gateway. The Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) as the airport is officially known, is serviced by all of the major U.S. airlines. Flying into Albuquerque and renting a car is by far the most popular way of traveling around New Mexico. But not the only way. Train service provides access to New Mexico on a daily basis as does the bus. In partnership with Avis, NADO has worked out a discounted car rental rate, click here to take advantage of this promotion.
The Santa Fe Municipal Airport (SAF) is open to private aircraft and American Eagle, which offers two nonstop daily flights between Dallas and Santa Fe.
Train Service
The New Mexico Rail Runner Express offers commuter train service between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Visit the New Mexico Rail Runner Express website for schedule and rate information.
Amtrak's Southwest Chief trains - eastbound from Los Angeles and westbound from Chicago - meet each afternoon at Lamy, New Mexico. Call the Lamy Shuttle at 505-982-8829 to arrange transportation to downtown Santa Fe (14 miles) or area hotels for possible pickup.
