EDA and NADO to Host May 23 Webinar on Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership

On Thursday, May 23 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. EST,jointhe U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) (http://www NULL.eda NULL.gov/)and the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) for an informative webinar (https://www2 NULL.gotomeeting NULL.com/register/406279858)about funding opportunities for the new Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership (http://www NULL.eda NULL.gov/challenges/imcp/) (IMCP).

The IMCP is a new Administration-wide initiative that will accelerate the resurgence of manufacturing and help cultivate an environment for businesses to create well-paying manufacturing jobs in regions across the country.  The IMCP is designed to reward communities that demonstrate best practices in attracting and expanding manufacturing by using long-term planning that integrates targeted investments in workforce training, infrastructure, research, and other key assets.

 This is the first NADO webinar about the new program and will be presented by EDA Senior Advisor Kathy Dedrick and Director of Performance and National Programs and Trade Adjustment Assistance Bryan Borlik. The webinar will allow attendees to ask questions about eligibility and program qualifications. It will also provide an overview of the new Regional Export Challenge program.
