DDAA Travel Subsidy for 2016 National Regional Transportation Conference

Posted on: April 28th, 2016 by Carrie Kissel

The Development District Association of Appalachia (DDAA) is very generously offering travel assistance for staff from the 73 LDDs based in the ARC region who would like to attend the National Regional Transportation Conference, June 13 – 15 in Chattanooga, TN.

Specifically, DDAA will reimburse up to 23 people for up to three nights at the hotel ($95 per night plus applicable taxes, for a total not to exceed $335 per person).   This offer is for one person per organization and is for hotel room and tax only; it does not include any other costs (travel, meals and conference registration, etc.).

To qualify for this special offer:

  1. Contact NADO Associate Director Carrie Kissel at ckissel @ nado.org to be added to the first-come, first-served list.  I will either confirm that you are one of the first 23 and you will be able to have your hotel room cost covered, or let you know that you are on the waiting list should someone need to cancel.
  2. Register for the conference by visiting nado.org/events/rpo2016/.  (Note that the early bird registration deadline is May 16.)
  3. Reserve a hotel room at the Read House Hotel by calling 423-266-4121 and asking for the NADO room block.  The conference room rate is the federal per diem rate of $95, and the room block deadline is also May 16.
  4. After the conference, submit your receipt and a travel reimbursement form (provided to the individuals receiving the subsidy prior to the event) to ckissel @ nado.org.

This is a first-come, first-served opportunity… so act fast!

Special thanks to DDAA for continued support and leadership in rural transportation capacity building!
