Congress Returns November 12 for Post-Election Lame Duck Session

Posted on: November 7th, 2014 by NADO Admin

Following the November midterm elections, the House and Senate will convene for a lame duck session on November 12. At the top of the agenda will be resolution of fiscal year (FY) 2015 spending. Federal programs are operating under a continuing resolution (CR) through December 11, but Congress will need to act in the coming weeks on either a FY2015 omnibus spending package or an extension of the current CR into the new year when the 114th Congress convenes.
