The House and Senate will return from a two-week recess on April 28. Upon returning, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, and Science (CJS) is expected to take up the fiscal year (FY) 2015 CJS Appropriations bill. The CJS bill funds all U.S. Department of Commerce programs, including the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA). The subcommittee will consider the bill on April 30. Once the bill moves through subcommittee, it will next be considered by the full House Appropriations Committee and if it is approved, can move to the House floor. NADO will provide details on EDA funding levels in the House bill as soon as information becomes available and will update members on action taken by the House Appropriations Committee as well as information about possible House floor amendments impacting EDA funding.
