This week, House and Senate appropriators unveiled a $1.5 trillion spending package for the remainder of fiscal year (FY) 2016. The bill adheres to the parameters of the bipartisan budget deal passed by Congress this fall that raised previously imposed discretionary spending caps. The House and Senate both approved the FY2016 omnibus spending bill on December 18 and sent it to President Obama for his expected signature.
