Program Agenda Available Here

The first-ever National CEDS Forum will take place June 18 – 20, 2019 in Columbus, Ohio at the Hyatt Regency Columbus (https://www  This free event will bring together staff from Economic Development Districts, regional organizations, tribes, and federal agencies for a mix of training sessions, tours, and networking opportunities. Participants will learn about the latest best practices and resources available to support their Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) planning, development, and implementation.  Session topics will focus on economic resilience and diversification; accessing and interpreting data; aligning the CEDS with other plans; outreach and engagement; Opportunity Zones; and more.  Session planning is currently underway.

On June 18, join us for the tour “Back from the Brink: A Visit to Wilmington, OH” to kick-off the convening.  In November 2008, Clinton County lost its largest employer when the shipping company DHL ended operations there, leading to the loss of thousands of jobs almost overnight.  On this tour, learn how Wilmington and Clinton County have come back stronger from this economic shock by supporting local businesses, nurturing a regional food system, investing in renewable energy, and creating opportunities for young people to participate in local affairs.

Please note that the CEDS Forum will be co-located with the National Regional Transportation Conference and will also include a variety of joint sessions and tours.

See you in Columbus!
