SUMMARY:Sowing Success: Regional EDD Food Systems Development
DESCRIPTION:Food systems are a crucial aspect of regional economic development. From the farm to the processor, markets, distributors, retail spaces, restaurants, to the dining room table, food takes an incredible logistics journey through a region’s economy before we eat. At each of these steps, wealth is either extracted or created in the region. Economic Development Districts (EDDs) have found creative solutions on using these food systems to grow regional economic prosperity. Offered through the NADO Research Foundation EDD Community of Practice, this webinar will highlight food systems best practices from two successful EDDs and the role the Wealth Creation framework can play in helping EDDs strengthen regional food systems.\n
