2020 NADO Congressional Partnership Awards Nominations

Posted on: January 31st, 2020 by NADO Admin

NADO is currently accepting nominations for the 2020 NADO Congressional Partnership Awards. This biennial award recognizes members of Congress who have been supportive of regional development programs and initiatives.

If you would like to nominate your Senator or Representative to receive an award, please complete the nomination form (click here). (https://forms NULL.gle/a2PxEXmpoMrPnYz49) The form only takes 2-3 minutes to complete.

You may nominate as many members of your Congressional delegation to receive award(s) as you wish. Nominees will be reviewed by NADO’s legislative team. Nominations may be submitted by individual NADO member organizations or by state associations of regional councils. A fee of $75 will be applied for each award. If a nomination is submitted by a state association or more than one NADO member, the cost may be divided among the nominating organizations.

Physical awards will be provided to NADO members who successfully nominate their member(s) of Congress for an award. NADO members are encouraged to present the award to their Senator or Representative, either during their Capitol Hill visits scheduled in tandem with the 2020 NADO and DDAA Washington Conference (March 15-18, 2020), or during meetings with the member of Congress in your district/state.

For those who plan to attend the 2020 NADO & DDAA Washington Conference (March 15-18, 2020), the awards will be available for you to pick up at the conference and bring to your Capitol Hill visits to present to your member(s) of Congress or their staff. If you are unable to attend the conference — or if you prefer to have the award mailed to your organization’s local office — NADO will mail the award so that you may present it during meetings with your Representative(s) in your district. Please note that Congress will NOT be in session during the week of March 15 2020, however the NADO & DDAA Washington Conference still lends a great opportunity to spend time on Capitol Hill and meet with Hill staffers.
