USDA Rural Development Seeks Public Input

Posted on: August 15th, 2011 by Jennifer Walsh

Earlier this year, President Obama issued Executive Order No. 13563, Improving Regulation and Regulatory Review, which requires all federal agencies to review existing regulations and outlines principles that promote public participation in government.  In response, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development is holding stakeholder outreach meetings throughout the U.S.  A number of in-person, teleconference, and roundtable meetings are scheduled throughout the month of August.  Rural Development encourages the submission of written comments on how Rural Development can enhance program administration and delivery.  For a list of upcoming meetings and additional information on this initiative and to submit comments, visit here (http://www NULL.rurdev NULL.usda NULL.gov/RD_StakeholderOutreach NULL.html).
