The Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW), led by Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA), has released an outline of the Committee’s long-term surface transportation reauthorization measure, “Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century” (MAP-21). The outline broadly describes overall funding levels, core programs, performance measurements, project delivery, and planning processes. It is possible that legislative text may be released by Friday, July 22, in order for the Committee to hold a markup of the legislation on Wednesday, July 27. To read the outline click here.
