Regional Approaches to Homeland Security Planning and Preparedness: Survey of the Nation's Regional Development Organizations

This report examines the various regional initiatives, models and strategies that are being used by state and local officials to improve their preparedness, prevention and response capabilities. The report is the product of a recently conducted survey of the nation's 520 regional development organizations (RDOs). The report also focuses on identifying the specific and diverse roles being played by the nation's network of regional development organizations within the broad context of homeland security and emergency management.
