Welfare and the Labor Market
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (DHHS)
final report, How Well Have Rural and Small Metropolitan
Labor Markets Absorbed Welfare Recipients? Examines the
impact of welfare reform on rural and small-metropolitan
regions since 1993. Using economic models and twelve
different regions to gauge impact, the study estimates
the supply and demand impact on the low-skill labor
market.

9/11 Terrorist Data CD ROMs
This two CD-ROM set entitled Comprehensive Reference
Resource on the September 11, 2001, Terrorist Attacks
was initiated by the National Guard Bureau to be an
electronic library of resources relating to 9/11
terrorist attacks and to be distributed to organizations
nationally. The CDs allow for querying the events by
venue, chronology, organization function and photos in
all phases of the stacks, such as ceremonies, debris
removal and site demographic profiles.

Sustainable Agriculture
People Sustaining the Land: A Vision of Good Science and

of innovative farming communities across America. Each

narrative from the community representatives interviewed,
