The National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) has served as the national voice for regional development organizations for nearly four decades. Recognized as an informed, proactive and effective advocacy group that earns results, NADO’s legislative team walks the halls of Congress and the corridors of federal agencies every day on behalf of regions. Training and Networking
Whether at the annual training conference or Washington policy conference, members have an opportunity to network with peers, meet with senior federal officials and enhance their professional development. NADO's research foundation also offers special training and networks for loan fund professionals through the Economic Development Finance Service.

Research Reports and Programs

Self-financed through private foundation and federal agency grants, the NADO Research Foundation identifies and shares best practices, analyzes the impact of federal policies and programs on regions, and researches the latest developments and trends in small metropolitan and rural America. All of the activities of the Foundation are aimed at strengthening the efforts of NADO and its members.

Member Services

Members of NADO receive prompt response to technical assistance and information requests, a free copy of the membership directory, free job listings in NADO News and on the NADO Web site. Members are also eligible to compete for Innovation Awards and have access to meeting space only steps from the Capitol.
