About NADO
The National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) has served as the
national voice for regional development organizations for nearly four decades. NADO helps its members achieve their goals by providing effective advocacy and lobbying services at the federal level, producing timely information and research, and offering opportunities for professional and organizational growth.
Recognized as an informed, proactive and effective advocacy
group that earns results, NADO’s legislative team walks the
halls of Congress and the corridors of federal agencies

Publications
Members receive an assortment of timely and useful
newsletters, such as NADO News and the Regional Development Digest,
that provides the latest news and information on federal
community and economic development programs.
Special Reports and Programs
In partnership with the NADO Research Foundation, the
association provides members with special reports and programs
on key issues and hot topics. Recent reports include:
Self-financed through private foundation and federal
agency grants, the NADO
Research Foundation identifies and shares best
practices, analyzes the impact of federal policies and
programs on regions, and researches the latest developments
and trends in small metropolitan and rural America. All
of the activities of the Foundation are aimed at
strengthening the efforts of NADO and its members.
Member Services
Members of NADO receive prompt response to technical
assistance and information requests, a free copy of the
membership directory, free job listings in NADO News and
on the NADO Web site. Members are also eligible
to compete for Innovation Awards and have access to
meeting space only steps from the Capitol.
