Palmetto Breeze Mobility Manager

The Mobility Manager’s duties will include, but not be limited to:

•Implementing the recently completed Lowcountry Coordinated Transportation Expansion Plan;

•Expanding the Palmetto Breeze one-stop transportation traveler call center and a related web site to coordinate transportation information on all travel modes and to manage eligibility requirements and arrangements for customers among supporting programs;

•Supporting operational planning for the acquisition and implementation of ITS technologies for the Veterans Transportation and Community Living Initiative (VTCLI) grant;

•Providing outreach and marketing support for the VTCLI program and other Palmetto Breeze projects;

•Promoting and facilitating coordination and consolidation among social service organizations, clients (riders) and government agencies; preparation, implementation, and administration of an outreach and marketing program to inform citizens of their transportation options.

Position Requirements - The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in transportation/urban planning, public administration, marketing, or related field and two or more years of relevant and responsible experience. The ideal candidate is an applicant with transportation planning, excellent verbal communication skills, and experience working diplomatically with diverse clients. Strong presentation, public speaking, and computer skills are necessary, along with the ability to learn new computer software applications. Applicants must have an interest in public outreach and provision of specialized transportation services.

Reporting - The position works directly for the Executive Director for LRTA/Palmetto Breeze (in Bluffton) but works closely with the Lowcountry Council of Governments (LCOG).
