Description
The Flint Hills Regional Council (FHRC) which covers five counties around Ft. Riley, Kansas, seeks seasoned Executive Director to propel, organize, grow and lead a new organization in service to FHRC Board of Directors composed of 21 local government members, reflecting views and concerns of 140,000 citizenry in the sevencounty metropolitan region.
Strong executive-level generalist management experience including background of government and regional planning agency leadership required. Knowledge of transportation, land use, environmental quality, regional growth management planning, and implementation highly important. Ability to
manage multiple complex projects/programs and services delivery in timely manner through competent technical staff is critical. Excellent oral/written communication and public presentation and interpersonal skills required. Outgoing, energetic, creative style important. Appointed by and reports to FHRC Board.
