Description
We are a multi-jurisdictional agency that provides technical assistance to local governments for transportation and transit planning, local and regional planning, community development, aging, environmental protection, workforce and economic development, research and public administration of local, state, and federal programs. A 29 member board appointed by member local governments governs the agency.
The agency was established in 1971, has an operating budget in excess of $3 million (w/ pass through $7 million), a staff of 27 and serves the counties of Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee and Sumter in South Carolina.
The position requires a master’s degree in Public Administration and Management, Urban/Regional Planning, Public Organization or Finance, and a minimum of ten years of executive managerial experience in closely related fields. Annual salary range is $110,000-$135,000 dependent upon qualifications; excellent benefits provided.
