Description
The program manager position performs routine managerial work related to community and economic development activities of the agency. Work involves overseeing data services to support economic development activities at the regional and local level and develops analyses and reports to guide planning and special projects. The incumbent will pursue opportunities for partnerships and cooperative arrangements to undertake initiatives to support regional economic competitiveness.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from accredited college/university with major coursework in public policy, business finance, economic development, community and urban planning or a related field.
Experience: Minimum four years’ experience with economic development policy and practice at the regional and local level; must have experience developing and analyzing data to support economic and demographic trends. Must have experience with state and federal grant management. Experience working on economic and community development issues with local governments is also required. Education and experience may be substituted for one another.
Salary range: $55,000 - $70,000 depending on qualifications.
