Description
Must have knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles; governmental accounting practices and procedures; local, state and federal regulations applicable to grants administration and local government structure and intergovernmental relations. Must be able to maintain complete and accurate records; oversee and administer contracts efficiently and effectively; direct and motivate employees; demonstrate proficiency in both written and oral communication; exhibit excellent computer skills including Word and Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment
Master's degree in accounting, finance or a related field, plus at least eight years of experience in public administration & finance with supervisory experience is preferred. Equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the position may be considered in lieu of degree.
