The SC Appalachian Council of Governments seeks a dynamic and knowledgeable person for the position of Area Agency on Aging Director (this AAA is also an Aging & Disability Resource Center). Responsible for the overall policy, fiscal, personnel, procurement and programmatic management of Older Americans Act and other related state and federal programs for older adults, people with disabilities and informal caregivers. Supervises a staff of 13, staffs the Regional Aging Advisory Committee, and reports directly to the ACOG Executive Director.

BA (Masters preferred) degree in social work, geriatrics, public administration or sociology; 5-7 years progressive experience in supervision, planning, budget development and contract management, preferably in the aging field. Excellent computer, oral communication and writing skills, demonstrated “team player”, and attention to detail a plus. Full benefits; starting salary range $53,235–$66,553.
