This report identifies post-disaster economic recovery issues and provides recommendations on how federal partners can better assist local communities. Funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA), this paper identifies capacity, resource and regulatory constraints imposed on local communities after a disaster, and presents a series of recommendations on how federal partners could better assist communities in their recovery effort.
