FEMA Accepting Applications for the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is accepting applications for $404 million in FY2011 funds for the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFG).  The AFG program supports organizations that lack the tools and resources necessary to effectively protect the health and safety of the public and their emergency response personnel with respect to fire and all other hazards.  The deadline for applications is September 9.  Additional information concerning the AFG program is available here (http://www NULL.fema NULL.gov/firegrants/afggrants/index NULL.shtm).
