AMY C. LINEHAN, LEGISLATIVE REPRESENTATIVE

Amy Linehan has served as the Legislative Representative of the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) since July 2004. Prior to joining NADO she worked as a Legislative Associate for the municipal lobbying firm Barbara T. McCall Associates, Inc. where she was responsible for issues related to law enforcement and homeland security as well as assisting clients with federal grant applications. Prior to her three years with McCall Associates, Linehan served as a Congressional Aide in the district office of Representative Ellen O. Tauscher (CA-10).

As Legislative Representative for NADO, Linehan is responsible for advocating, monitoring, and reporting on priority issues including homeland security and emergency management, federal-state regional commissions and rural development. She also assists in the production of NADO News and the planning and coordination of NADO's Washington Policy Conference.

Linehan also co-authored NADO's inaugural Homeland Security report: Regional Approaches to Homeland Security Planning and Preparedness, assisted in the development of NADO's highly regarded analysis of the President's 2006 annual budget proposal and is a regular contributor to NADO's Regional Development Digest.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Arizona in Tucson and is a native of Oakland, California. Amy currently resides in Washington, DC.
