On June 1, a group of 28 senators, led by Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-ME), sent a letter to leaders of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development in support of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The letter called on the committee to “support the highest possible funding” for the program and cited its ability to “revitalize communities with proven results.”  To view a copy of this letter, click here.
